Gypsy Sue's vocals, and the talent of the whole band is just superb. And I love the latin sound. And they organise the wonderful Foco Nuevo every month. Favorite track: Distancia y Latido.

Guitar with no strings stands in the corner outside no wind for a kite Love waits like an unopened letter and it feels dark as night Distant love, distant love (no telephone) Distant love, distant love (no telephone) No words fill the heart of a poet seems all his stories are told Papers lie blank on the table no balm for wounded souls Distant love, distant love (no telephone) Distant love, distant love (no telephone) Like the sea without salt or waves Like a bee with no sting Like an ache but no pain Like a cloud with no rain Judge in a courtroom is sleeping plea from the floor waits unheard There’s no room for the drifters no pity, no soothing word Distant love, distant love (no telephone) Distant love, distant love (no telephone)

See the needle on the compass spin hopelessly swinging round and round She has no guide to help her through these troubled times The maps are torn and out of date And she can't see the stars for the clouds He's a sailor with a sextant aimlessly pointing to the sky But its no use to him, The ancient course is hard to find The lights ahead won't stay in line and the shoreline is lost in the haze Today the sea is blue Other times its just a steely grey I want these waves to wash over me and carry me, carry me away The radar beam's gone crazy blinking madly on the screen There's nothing now to take him safely home Today is lost adrift at sea And tomorrow feels trapped in yesterday Today the sea is blue Other times its just a steely grey I want these waves to wash over me and carry me, carry me away

Omar went one Sunday to a sleepy fishing port He walked onto the jetty to see what had been caught What could he see, to make him smile? Omar felt so restless he couldn’t sleep at night He really wanted something to change his ordered life What was his dream, what burns inside? So one night he slipped away to that sleepy fishing port and found a boat to take him to the places that he sought The sparkling sea, the ocean’s swell So he makes his escape for some lucky break but what will he leave behind, Will he ever find what he can imagine but who could imagine what he’ll find Omar left a note but then there was no word No-one knew what happened, no-one ever heard Where did he go, what did he see? Back home their life is peaceful, there’s no Penelope waiting by her window unravelling tapestry... But sometimes they wonder Where is he now, why did he leave? So he makes his escape for some lucky break but what does he leave behind, Will he ever find what he can imagine but who could imagine what he’ll find Omar went one Sunday to a sleepy fishing port He walked onto the jetty and found that he'd been caught
